How much does a Realtor® charge to represent me?

As a buyer or seller, your real estate agent will have you sign a Buyer's Representation Agreement or a Listing agreement with their fees listed. Broker's fees ARE negotiable.

Do I need a Real Estate Agent or Realtor® if I am going to buy a new construction home?

YES! It is always recommended to have an agent in any real estate transaction. The builder's Sales Representatives work for the builder and not for the buyer. You always want to ensure you have your own representation to protect you and to provide a fiduciary duty to you as their client.

Can I fire my Realtor® if I don't feel like I am getting the best representation?

Yes. The agent works for you so at any point you do not feel like you are being adequately taken care of, you can ask them to terminate your representation agreement. Beware, the termination may come with some fees. Read the fine print.
